The richest man in the world Elon Musk is going ahead with the deal to buy Twitter for the initial price he set at $44Bn.
Elon who had been seen as the champion for free speech had sent a tweet hours after agreeing to the deal.
“Buying Twitter is an accelerant to creating x, the everything app”.
Honoring the deal as he once wanted to do might be the right thing to do as his net worth suddenly took a little nose dive this mid year. He had recently reavealed the Optimus Teslabot at AI day 2022, a robot which according to Musk would be less expensive than the car and would be significantly needed with Tesla cars in future.
Investors are having high hopes in this new venture which is why Musk might not want this Twitter drama to mess with his ‘baby’ Tesla. Musk has shown to the public that he can be unpredictable so we could still expect anything to unfold.
It would be interesting to see what Elon Musk does with Twitter and how he can indeed be the champion of free speech as his fans have claimed him to be.
