The long awaited world cup in Qatar for the year 2022 has finally kicked off, it is the first time a country from the Middle-East will host the tournament. It was a Stadium packed full with fans and supporters of their respective countries. The first match of the game was between Qatar the host nation and Ecuador which resulted in a 2-0 win for Ecuador who would face Australia as their next opponent.
There were fireworks at the edges of the Stadium in Doha as fans marveled at architecture amidst the controversies following its build up. The first match takes a record for the first time a host nation would loose thier first match since the tournament’s inception in Uruguay 1930.
Hollywood star Morgan Freeman had the honor of starting the tournament with a spectacular ceremony to remember. He started with what seemed to be a monologue but transitioned to an individual who was handicapped but joining in the role.
The World Cup will have 64 matches which will be played at Doha and supporters will be cheering for their respective teams.
