Microsoft’s window azure and Amazon’s AWS is going to get a heated competition from Google’s cloud platform as they set up station in South Africa.
This big move by Google will expand their cloud storage capacity ability to reach another broader crowd which in this case would be Africa, AWS which is largest cloud computing company in the world would be preparing to get better competition from more cloud computing and storage.
Google Cloud Africa director, Niral Patel had this to say.
“We are excited to announce the first Google Cloud region in Africa. The new region will allow for the localization of applications and services. It will make it really easier for our customers and partners to quickly deploy solutions for their businesses, whereby they’re able to leverage our computer artificial intelligence or machine learning capabilities, and data analytics to make smarter business decisions as they go forward,”
AWS and AZURE had launched in South Africa three years ago which is a long time in a competitive ground but it’s still not a late run for the search giant.
