There is nothing more energetic than having your idol or a famous international player support you to victory, which is exactly the treatment Nacional got as Luis Suarez showed his full support.
Suarez who is on a free transfer has been a crucial player since he got back to the team he left since 2006 after playing for top European teams such as Liverpool, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
Fuentes told El Pais Uruguay:
“Luis Suarez was the icing on the cake, the touch of quality in this squad. Having a top player is a luxury for Nacional and Uruguayan soccer.”

“The ones who achieve the triumph and go down in history are the players, we try to give them all the means and put everything Nacional has at their disposal to achieve it,” Fuentes added.
