TikTok’s CEO Shou Chew has said that the company is working on a project called Texas which will bolster security in the U.S by refencing data with it’s partnership with American company Oracle. In a conversation in Bloomberg new economy forum in Singapore, Shou addressed the growing concerns about the Chinese owned video app company raised by the FBI.
“For many Tech companies including ourselves, one of the largest teams that you would have is your trust and safety team. Which is not only the people that would design the policies around community guidelines but the people who compliment the machine in terms of content moderation and protecting the platform and making sure that content is very safe.”
When asked about how many people work in it’s trust and safety team. Shou Chew said it’s in its tens of thousands.
