The CEO of Apple Tim Cook first introduced the new look of the Macbook in 2015 but with it’s iconic glowing apple logo missing as it was replaced with a grey silver logo, with many thinking that it will reappear once again in future laptops but it never did.
The glowing logo which had existed for over 2 decades was removed to accomodate a change in design of Apple’s line of macbooks. The logo had a transparent cut out which allowed it’s backlight to glow but also allowed external light to pass through, using a macbook outside i.e a park could cause discoloration not to mention rigidity to the laptop’s structure.
The thiness of the laptop structure forced apple to ditch the glowing logo and remove risk of rigidity. Apple is a recognizable brand in the world which made Tim Cook not feel the need to make the logo loud at people’s faces.
